We were delighted to be crowned "King of Maths App" by The Royal Connection www.theyoyalconnection.co.uk. A fantastic business networking opportunity for us!
Trick or Treat? We are offering Maths Rock for half price during the Halloween period. Happy Halloween Holidays everyone!
We were so pleased to be featured as "App of the Month" in a School newsletter from a School in Cambridgeshire, UK. Great support and encouragement.
Today it is World Maths Day, and in support of this we have released our game as a FREE DOWNLOAD on the Apple App store, for this day only. All we ask is that a review is left in return, as it helps us keep on improving. We have had some great feedback from teachers, head teachers and independent maths advisors, with more to come. We are starting to build excellent relationships with a broad base of teachers up and down the UK and now in other countries. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who would review our game and give us feedback, whether that is public or privately to us, we see all feedback as good feedback. We want to keep building relationships with other app developers, teachers, headteachers, advisors, bloggers and all other education professionals. We have a good network of links via Social Media now and we are interested in all things Maths and learning - some wonderful articles out there! Please feel free to make contact with us via the Contact Page. In the meantime HAPPY #WORLDMATHSDAY
The Twitter campaign is going well and we now have over 200 followers; mainly teachers, headteachers and people with an interest in Maths. We have had some great feedback and offers to test and share by teachers, and we have taken many people up on that offer. As a result, we have seen an increase in downloads in lots of different countries. What are we doing now? Further development on the game to include some of the features people have asked for; especially around profiles and customisation. Exciting times based around continuous improvement!
We are seeing downloads increase as people start thinking about going "Back to School", realising that some Schools are already back! We have had lots of feedback about our game, and this one left on the Google Playstore is one of our favourites:
"At last! There are dozens of maths apps out there for this age range & they're either all animation but no substance or just very dull. This strikes the right balance. It's cute & straightforward but it's genius is in its addictive quality. Maths answer to Candy Crush. My (nearly) 7 yr old loves it & it's improved her ability to quickly find the answers, when she'd be slowly counting up with her fingers before. There's a lot of drivel out there. This hits the spot. Highly recommended!"
In August 2015, we quickly realised that there were a number of people who did not have Apple Devices, mainly because it some cases, Android devices were the cheaper option to supply to children (who have a habit of dropping, cracking screens, breaking mobile devices - bless them!). We decided to develop Maths Rock as an Android game, and we launched the game on the Google Appstore on 24/08/2015!
Alongside this new development, we are now building our social media presence, with accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pintrest...and now, this blog :) Facebook has allowed us to start reaching other countries, with "likes" from New Zealand, Australia, China and the USA as well as many of course from the UK.
We have had some excellent feedback from parents and teachers, and we hope to develop our marketing strategy more rigorously over the coming weeks.
